A French native, Carine Magescas studied in Paris and worked extensively in technology before moving to the US in 1998 where she worked for startups as a marketing director. In 2003, she took a leap of faith and left everything behind to launch her company Illico Design, introducing to the US lines of home design accessories from new and innovative French designers.
After carefully sourcing beautiful objects for the home, the next logical step was the home itself. Carine is now applying her love for clean modern lines with a warm feel to the houses she designs. She defines her style as contemporary yet warm with touches of the unexpected.
She lives in San Francisco with her husband and son and travels to Paris whenever she can.
