Carine Magescas
Born in France, Carine Magescas studied in Paris (she holds a Master and Post Graduate degree from Paris IX Dauphine) and worked extensively in technology before (and after) moving to San Francisco in 1998. In 2003, she founded illico design, introducing and distributing to the US exclusive lines of home accessories from new French designers. Her clients included well-known design stores all across the US as well as major retail catalogs, the W hotels and the MoMA store.

After carefully sourcing beautiful objects for the home, the next logical step was the home itself. Carine is now applying her love for clean modern lines with a warm feel to the houses she designs. She defines her style as contemporary yet warm with touches of the unexpected.

She lives in New York with her husband and son and travels to Paris whenever she can.
Carine is also a photographer and launched a collaborative photo project: 2filles2villes.
